Lisbon Apartment Santa Quitéria

Situated in a noble area of the city, in an upper-middle class neighbourhood, this apartment is ideal for a business stay in Lisbon and tourist escapades that will acquaint you with this wonderful city.

To walk in this neighbourhood is to breathe the more classical and traditional history of Lisbon. Even today many elite Lisbon families have their homes here.
On the other hand it is located near the town centre and the city´s main landmarks.

In an English Countryside style, but simple and functional, this apartment has its own personality and will make you feel good and at home, far from the feeling of the impersonality of a common hotel room.

The living room has a fireplace for the cooler days that you can also get in Lisbon, the spaces are designed and have in mind the comfort of those who stay here, always with the spirit of "feeling at home".

Like this neighbourhood, this apartment gives the feeling of having stopped in time, that the time outside does not match the speed of the clocks inside - the best to relax after a day of work or even a tiring walk around the town.
The kitchen has all the necessary functionalities for its full use, the dining room sits 4 around a dinner and quiet chat over business or Lisbon, which has many charms to be discovered.

To top this, a terrace where you can catch the cool of the night in winter, or the wonderful smells of a warm summer night. Not to be missed is the sunset in Europe´s oldest capital city. The saying goes that the light in these moments is unique in the world.

Lapa is a charming neighbourhood! Near the centre, of pre-earthquake Lisbon and Marquis de Pombal's Lisbon, it is essentially a residential neighbourhood, but it also has a dynamic commercial activity and several restaurants where you can have a good wine and taste some of the city´s gastronomic specialities.

You find out of hours eating places, where to listen to the fado, there are supermarkets and shops that answer your day to day needs.

Places to discover: The Puppet Museum, the gardens of the Ancient Art Museum, the Estrela Garden, a privileged green area with a rich vegetation and unique species in Portugal, the Estrela Basilica, tram number 28 which will carry you to the hills of St. George Castle and the neighbourhoods of Alfama, Mouraria and Graça, landmarks of the history and soul of the city.

Lapa- Estrela

In Lisbon, Lapa and Estrela stand for history and class. Many of the city's more traditional families have their homes here. Residential areas, par excellence, very central, yet with active commerce.

At the Estrela neighbourhood, there is a Garden and a Basilica which will leave you impressed. The Basilica (built in the 18th. century), situated in Largo da Estrela, blends together baroque and neoclassical styles. T

he cupola and the façade (with two twin towers and statues of saints and other figures) are one of Lisbon's postcards. It is open every day of the week, until eight in the evening. Right in front of the Basilica: the Estrela Garden (or Guerra Junqueiro Garden). Banana trees, jacarandas and plane-trees, kingfishers, peacocks and swans. And a musical silence in one of the capital's most elegant gardens. Built in the image of romantic English gardens, Jardim da Estrela houses the oldest wrought iron bandstands of Lisbon. It is an elegant place to read a book, jog or have a drink. If you have a portable computer, bring it with you. There is free wireless internet. A lot of public transport. There are buses (9, 20, 22 and 38) and trams (25 and the famous 28).

The establishment of Lapa as a parish goes back to the year 1770. More than two centuries later, it is here that we find most of the foreign embassies in Portugal: China, Ireland, Netherlands, United Kingdom and Sweden are some of them.

In this neighbourhood, you get the feeling you are in ancient Lisbon, with time in your hands. Do not miss "A Padaria da Lapa" restaurant (Rua de São Felix, 33ª), "Casa de Chá da Lapa" (Rua do Olival, 8), an elegant historic spot, patronized by many figures of Lisbon's elite. To relax, take advantage of "Spa Lapa Palace" (Rua Pau da Bandeira, 4). For a night of fado, you are at the right place. "Sr. Vinho" (Rua do Meio à Lapa, 18) is a restaurant/fado house opened in 1975. Codfish  Sr. Vinho, oven roasted kid and pork loin with Arab rice and tropical fruit are just three of the house specialities. When silence falls, it means one of the house fado singers is about to sing. Maria da Fé, António Zambujo and Aldina Duarte are a constant presence. We can assure you it is a golden selection.
